CHANDLER, AZ - Authorities say the pilot of a biplane walked away uninjured after a hard landing at Chandler Airport Monday morning.
The incident happened around 10 a.m. at the airport near Germann and McQueen roads in Chandler.
FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said the home built single-engine Starduster SA-100 reportedly experienced engine failure on its approach to the airport.
Chandler police said the small plane made a hard landing near the south end of the airport.
Video showed the plane sitting off the runway in a dirt area.
Police said there were no injuries and no damage.
