Baby taken off life-support after mother dies in car accident

CHANDLER, AZ - A newborn baby has died in a Chandler hospital after she was involved in a fatal car crash that also killed her mother.

Chandler police say the baby was taken off life-support around 6:15 p.m. Monday night.

The mother was able to give birth to her baby girl, but the mom died later from her injuries from the accident.

The accident happened December 26th near Gilbert and Ocotillo Roads.
