CHANDLER, AZ - A missing Chandler teen has been found safe in Texas, traveling with a 25-year-old man.
Cassidy Bejarano, 15, left her home Friday morning, Chandler police said. She takes daily medications which she did not take with her, making her an endangered missing child.
Cassidy left a note telling her mother she was heading to California.
Chandler police said Saturday that Cassidy and the unidentified North Carolina man may have met on the Internet.
The two were stopped by a Texas Department of Public Safety officer for speeding. The officer who checked their identification discovered that Cassidy was reported missing.
The man she was with was taken into custody. The Texas DPS is investigating the case and charges against the man are pending the results of that investigation.
Cassidy's mother will fly to Texas on Saturday to pick up her daughter, police said.
