PHOENIX - At least two people suffered critical injuries in a Phoenix accident involving a horse trailer.
The accident happened near 35th Avenue and Broadway Road around 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Phoenix fire spokesman Scott McDonald said a tow truck driver was out of his truck starting to load a vehicle when he was struck by another vehicle pulling a trailer with three horses.
The horse trailer flipped and one horse was killed; two others were removed from the trailer and will survive.
McDonald said the accident involved a total of three vehicles and six patients. He said two suffered serious injuries, one suffered less serious injuries and three were evaluated at the scene.
Broadway Road is currently closed in both directions from 27th to 35th avenues.
