Phoenix double-shooting leaves one man dead, one injured

PHOENIX - A double-shooting in a south Phoenix neighborhood Friday left one man dead and another seriously injured, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Police said that just after midnight Friday night, officers found two men lying wounded in the street near 24th Street and Broadway Road.

Both men had been shot, and were taken to a hospital where one victim died of his injuries. The other is expected to survive.

According to police, it is unknown if the two victims shot each other or if a third person was involved.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Phoenix Police Department Violent Crimes Bureau at 602-262-6141.
