PHOENIX - Police are investigating a shooting in South Phoenix.
Phoenix police said a 20-year-old male was found wounded in an alley near 29th Street and Roeser around 7 p.m. Saturday.
The victim was taken to a local hospital in extremely critical condition. Police had initially said he had died.
Sgt Steve Martos said in a Monday news release that witnesses saw the victim walking in the alley, heard a gunshot and saw the victim go down. They reported seeing a male in his 30s running from the scene.
Police say they have little to go on at this point and are asking for the public's help. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call the Phoenix Police Violent Crimes Bureau at 602-262-6141 or to remain anonymous call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish.
