The remains were found along Interstate 8 and milepost 156 near the Veja Truck Stop in Pinal County, Tamra Ingersoll said, spokeswoman for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
Police said the remains seemed to be that of a skull and apparent rib bones, according to the press release.
Deputies also reported finding scattered remnants of pants and a shirt, according to a press release.
The remains have been send to the Pinal County Medical Examiner's Office for analysis, Police said.
