Alleged drunk driver falls into hole after crashing car in South Phoenix
Officials say the man crashed his vehicle then fell into an open manhole when he got out of his car.

PHOENIX - A driver reportedly suffered minor injuries when he crashed his car then fell into an open hole overnight.
Officials say the driver was impaired when he crashed into a small retention basin near 40th Street and Baseline Road around 2 a.m.
The alleged drunk driver apparently got out of his vehicle and fell into a large open manhole.
He was rescued by a fire department technical rescue team and had only minor injuries, according to a battalion chief on scene.
Police did take the man into custody and are continuing their investigation.
