PHOENIX - Three people had to be pulled from a vehicle early Sunday after a driver crashed through a cinder block wall in south Phoenix.
Phoenix officials said four teens were "joyriding" down 36th Avenue when the driver lost control and slammed through a wall at Broadway Road.
Video from the scene showed the BMW lodged in the wall alongside the roadway.
Three passengers inside the vehicle had to be extricated, and were taken to local hospitals. Their injuries ranged from minor to severe, according to officials.
The driver attempted to flee the scene, but was apprehended a short time later.
Impairment is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
