Thieves steal 100 pounds of refrigerant from Deer Valley School District

PHOENIX - Thieves managed to steal more than 100 pounds of refrigerant from Deer Valley School District and police are asking for for the public's help in identifying those involved.

Phoenix police said the commercial grade "R22" Refrigerant canisters, which each weigh about 30 pounds, went missing from the property located on 21st Avenue just south of Deer Valley Road between Feb. 12 - Feb. 22, 2013.

The missing refrigerator coolant is a $6,000 loss for the district, according to Silent Witness.

Police do not have any known information on a possible suspect or suspects.
