PHOENIX - Police have identified a man killed in a north Phoenix accident Tuesday night.
Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said a 27-year-old male driver and 29-year-old Brian Dyer were in a Hyundai Elantra traveling eastbound on Deer Valley Road around 5:40 p.m.
Thompson said officers believe the Hyundai turned left at 22nd Street, failing to yield for a 2003 Chevrolet S10 pickup traveling westbound on Deer Valley Road. The two vehicles collided.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 20-year-old male, received minor injuries.
The driver of the Hyundai was seriously injured, but is in stable condition.
Thompson said Dyer was transported to a local hospital, but he died from his injuries.
Impairment does not appear to be a factor, but the investigation on-going, according to Thompson.
