Phoenix police investigating fatal shooting

PHOENIX - Phoenix police are investigating a fatal shooting in the Sunnyslope area of north Phoenix.

Police responded to a shots fired called just before 11:30 a.m. in the 200 block of East Townley near Central and Dunlap Avenues. Officers arrived and found a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

The victim was transported to the hospital where he died a short time later. Police have not released any suspect information or the name of the victim.
