PHOENIX - Four children were taken to the hospital after the vehicle they were in crashed into a bus stop just after midnight.
Police say the female driver of a pickup truck was going the wrong way on 35th Avenue near Rose Lane and saw another car coming head-on.
The driver of the pickup swerved to avoid the oncoming vehicle and hit a bus stop then came to rest against a tree.
All four children, ages 6, 4, 3, and an infant, were taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons.
The driver was pinned inside the vehicle and was also taken to the hospital for treatment, police said.
