PD: Surprise man tried to meet child and woman for sex

PHOENIX - Authorities say a Surprise man was arrested after he tried to meet a woman online who would let him have sex with a child.

According to court documents, 21-year-old Jordan Daniel Zapata posted an advertisement on an Internet site on Thursday trying to meet women would allow him to engage in sex acts with juvenile family members.

Zapata began to correspond with someone he believed to be the mother of a female child and arranged to meet them to have sex with the child and then the mother.

During the exchanges, Zapata allegedly sent pictures of himself and his penis and requested that he be allowed to take photos of himself having sex with the child.

Zapata arranged to meet the mother and child at a motel in north Phoenix. He wrote that he would bring condoms to the meeting.

Around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, police saw Zapata drive his vehicle into the motel parking lot at Bell Road and Interstate 17.

As he walked toward the entrance of the motel he was contacted by police and arrested.

Police found that Zapata had condoms and a cell phone with him and he reportedly admitted to driving to the motel intending to engage in sex with the child and mother.

He reportedly told police he intended to take photographs of himself having sex with the child with his cell phone.

Zapata was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on charges of attempted sexual exploitation of a child and attempted sexual conduct with a child.
