PHOENIX - A man was arrested for allegedly shooting and killing another man at a Phoenix apartment complex on Thursday morning.
Phoenix Police Officer Luis Samudio said officers responded to a report of a shooting at the apartment complex near 35th and Dunlap avenues around 4 a.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been killed by a gunshot wound, according to Samudio.
According to investigators, the victim was involved in a verbal argument with another individual during a party at the apartment complex.
The argument escalated into a physical fight and the suspect allegedly retrieved a handgun and shot and killed 29-year-old Haki Miggins.
Samudio said witnesses helped identify the suspect as 21-year-old Anthony Granado.
Granado was reportedly seen leaving from a residence on West Solano Drive on Thursday afternoon and detectives took him into custody.
Samudio said Granado was interviewed by homicide detectives when he admitted to the crime.
