PHOENIX - A man in his 70s had to be rescued from his expensive sports car that was swept away by floodwaters Sunday morning.
Phoenix Fire Department technical crews found the man near his vehicle that had been washed approximately 100 yards from where it was picked up by the rushing water.
Crews did a shallow water crossing and were able to get the patient out safely. No injuries were reported.
A neighbor told ABC15 her husband tried to reach the man with a 4x4 vehicle before fire crews arrived.
The Corvette could be seen in Air15 video tilted on its side up against a tree in the wash.
