PHOENIX - Authorities say a man has been stabbed after a squabble at Metrocenter Mall in west Phoenix.
Phoenix police say the victim was rushed to a hospital after the incident Friday afternoon.
Authorities say the man is expected to survive.
Police say two intoxicated men started fighting with one another in a mall bathroom. They eventually ended their dispute and left the bathroom together.
While walking down a narrow hallway, the men came across a couple walking in the opposite direction. One of the men reportedly bumped into the woman's boyfriend.
A yelling match ensued and one of the intoxicated men pushed the woman out of the way.
Witnesses say the boyfriend pulled out a knife and stabbed the man who pushed his girlfriend.
Police said the couple fled the scene.
