PHOENIX - Seven people were injured in a three-car accident in north Phoenix Sunday afternoon, according to officials.
Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Scott Walker said crews were called to the scene near 35th and Peoria avenues around 12:45 p.m.
Two cars and a pickup truck were reportedly involved in the collision, which sent seven people, including two young children, to the hospital.
Walker said a 5-year-old boy was one of three people transported to the hospital in serious condition. Four others suffered minor injuries.
It is unclear at this time what caused the collision.
