PHOENIX - A Phoenix chase has ended at a North Phoenix apartment complex.
Air15 video showed a small white passenger car driving through Valley streets, pulling into a mall parking lot and back out onto surface streets.
The driver then pulled into an apartment complex near Tatum Boulevard and Bell Road where the driver pulled into a parking space and fled on foot.
Moments later police cars flooded the area, looking for the suspect.
Officers checked the area on foot, spreading out through the area.
One officer with a police canine was seen searching the area.
A couple of other officers were seen talking with two people outside an apartment.
Police say the incident began as a surveillance of a stolen vehicle in the west Valley and was not a pursuit.
There was no immediate word on whether the suspect had been caught.
