PHOENIX - A 27-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed Tuesday night when the bike he was riding collided with a van.

Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Scott McDonald said the accident happened around 5 p.m. just outside of the FBI Field Office Building near 7th Street and Deer Valley Road.

Deer Valley Road from 7th Street to 16th Street was closed for hours while police conducted their investigation.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.

The victim's name has not been released yet.
