Phoenix, AZ - Winter weather in several Midwestern states forced the cancellation of several flights Sunday at Sky Harbor International Airport.
According to Flightstats.com Delta Airlines cancelled three flights to Minneapolis/St. Paul and United Airlines and US Airways each scrubbed two flights Sunday to the Twin Cities.
"It's extremely frustrating," said Marilyn Jensen of Vermillion, South Dakota.
Delta Airlines also cancelled a flight to Detroit due to an ice storm in Michigan.
"This is what happens when Mother Nature kicks in," said Dawn Buchanan of Northfield, Michigan. "You just have to go with the flow."
As a result, hundreds of passengers were left stranded at Sky Harbor International Airport.
"For now we're kind of rolling with it," said A.J. Dordell of Chanhassen, Minnesota. "I'm sure in a couple of days, it'll get really old."
