PHOENIX - With the November election quickly approaching, the intensity surrounding the presidential campaigns has grown.
Donations to the campaigns have skyrocketed as well, and according to new data, Valley residents have made a lot of the contributions.

According to data compiled by Scripps Howard News Service, residents of the Phoenix-area have contributed more than $7 million to the presidential campaigns.
National contributions total more than $567 million, an unprecedented amount.
Scripps Howard News Service reports that Americans made more than 2.3 million individual contributions through August 31.
