PHOENIX - A 9-week-old American bulldog mix gets a third chance at life after being snatched by an owl.

Sally Joe was rescued from a kill shelter a few weeks ago. She was there with her mother and three other siblings.

Foster mom Aimee French found out the family would be put down and came the rescue immediately.

"I got there five minutes before Sally Joe was going to euthanized," French said.

She brought Sally Joe and her mom home. Just days later, the puppy was grabbed by a owl.

Aimee thought she would never find the puppy again, but soon found out the owl dropped her in a neighbor's backyard.

"It's just a miracle," French said.

Sally Joe will be ready for adoption in just a few weeks. If you are interested, go to www.ohanaanimalrescue.org

She'll also be at Petsmart at Tempe Marketplace next Friday and Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
