PHOENIX - Authorities are looking for a large commercial truck carrying a crane that damaged an overpass on Interstate 17 near downtown Phoenix.
The Thursday morning incident forced the closure of an off ramp and lanes of the freeway for several hours so ADOT engineers could evaluate the integrity of the Jefferson Street bridge.
Officials with the Arizona Department of Public Safety say debris scattered across lanes of traffic as a result of the collision that caused thousands of dollars in damages.
DPS officers say they have yet to locate the driver or the truck involved and want to talk to anyone who witnessed the incident.
