PHOENIX - Travel and Leisure Magazine named Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport as one of America's Best Airports for Avoiding Flight Delays.

According to Travel and Leisure Magazine's website , Sky Harbor International Airport came in 10th place having only 13.94 percent total flights delayed.

Sky Harbor has a "natural leg up on competition" because of the climate and clear skies that rarely cause weather issues for planes.

Travel and Leisure also says that the best time to fly in Phoenix is before 9 a.m. and the worst time to fly falls between 5 and 8 p.m.

San Diego International, Salt Lake City International, LaGuardia and Detroit Metro Airports were also among the best for avoiding delays.
