PHOENIX - A transient has been re-arrested in the fatal shooting of a Phoenix man nearly five months ago.
Phoenix police say 21-year-old James Joseph Dover was taken into custody Sunday on suspicion of first-degree murder and endangerment.
He had his initial court appearance Monday.
Dover is accused of fatally shooting 28-year-old Gregory Luecke on March 22.
The Arizona Republic says Dover was using methamphetamine intravenously at the home of Luecke's girlfriend at the time of the shooting.
Dover was arrested, later released from jail and then indicted by a Maricopa County grand jury.
Police say Dover was tracked to a Phoenix home and he had tried to alter his appearance by changing his hair color.
They say Dover was armed with a pistol believed to be used in the fatal shooting.
