PHOENIX - Wednesday night turned into a traffic nightmare at Sky Harbor. Hundreds of cars were stuck in traffic trying to pick up and drop off passengers.
Sky Harbor said that the best route to enter the airport was the I-10 or 24th st. The east side entrances were backed up, including the exit ramp on the 143.
Traffic was so bad at some points, that Air15 captured footage of people running next to cars to get to their flight on time.
As of 10:00 P.M. on Wednesday, traffic was back to normal speeds.
Wednesday is the busiest travel day of the year, as travelers are en route to get to their Thanksgiving destination.
