Thanksgiving 2012 grocery store hours for Valley locations

PHOENIX - Last-minute holiday shoppers should be glad to know that most local grocery stores are extending their hours for Thanksgiving shoppers.

If you're looking for a late-night trip to the store, an early-morning food run or a quick Thanksgiving dinner standby, you'll be sure to find a Valley location to best fit your schedule.

AJ's Fine Foods will be open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thanksgiving. They will reopen at 7 a.m. on Black Friday and close at 7 p.m.

Bashas' Grocery Stores states in their weekly ad that they will be open until 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Most stores open at 6 a.m., following their normal schedule.

Food City is open until 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Fry's will be open all night on Wednesday, Nov. 21. Their Phoenix ad states that they will be open Thanksgiving Day until 3 p.m. and will reopen on Black Friday at 6 a.m.

Safeway says that most stores will be open until 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Whole Foods will have locations open at varying hours. Some stores across the country are open from 7 or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Be sure to call your local Whole Foods store before heading out!

Albertsons will have some of their locations open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving.

Fresh and Easy will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Their express stores will follow different hours, being open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Target stores will open at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving for early Black Friday shoppers. They will be open until 11 p.m. Friday.

Walmart store hours vary by location, though many Walmarts are scheduled to begin their first Black Friday shopping event at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Walgreens states that most of their stores will be open Thanksgiving Day. Holiday hours may differ from everyday hours, so check with your local store for more information.
