PHOENIX - Police say a clerk at a loan store in Phoenix admitted to helping her boyfriend and his mother steal more than $37,000.
Three suspects were arrested Sunday in connection with a staged armed robbery at a PLS Pay Day Loan Store near 43rd Avenue and Bethany Home Road, said Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump.
The clerk Lincoln Knight admitted to conspiring with her boyfriend Jeremy Parker and his mother Simone Parker around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Crump said.
He said Knight acted strangely when they showed up at the scene, attempting to leave and lying about her address.
Police later found the money, along with a toy gun and other evidence in the suspects’ homes and vehicles, Crump said.
All three suspects admitted to their involvement and were booked for armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, and theft, he said.
