PHOENIX - Indiana homeowners claim a Phoenix company promised to find them high-paying renters to live in their homes for Super Bowl week, if they paid a fee. Now, the people who signed up for the program believe they’ve been duped.

“If it’s too good to be true, it probably is,” said Dr. Melvin Woodward who paid around $1,200 to Super Week Lodging .

Woodward told WRTV-TV in Indianapolis that a company representative told him “big clients like Will Smith need a place to stay,” and that his home would be “just right.”

Woodward said the company promised to find him a renter who would pay around $45,000 for five nights at his home.

It never happened.

Now, Woodward wants his money back.

Super Week Lodging is located at 24th Street and Camelback Road in Phoenix according to its website, but when ABC15 went to the listed office address, the receptionist said that the company doesn’t actually have an office there, just a mailing address.

Woodward has been trying to contact the company, but no one has returned his calls or calls to ABC15.

The Arizona Better Business Bureau has flagged the company on its website , linking users to the Indiana Better Business Bureau that warns possible renters about scams.
