PHOENIX - Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio was released from the hospital on Saturday after injuring his shoulder earlier in the week.

Arpaio tweeted from his account ( @RealSheriffJoe ), "I was released from the hospital late today. Thank you for all of your kind wishes."

Arpaio was walking near the Wells Fargo building at 1st Avenue and Washington Street on Thursday when he tripped over something on the sidewalk and fell.
