PHOENIX - Federal authorities say a man wanted in northern Arizona for alleged sexual assaults on children has been arrested in Illinois.
U.S. Marshals Service officials say Shawn Wayne LeBarge was taken into custody Thursday evening in Ridge Farm by members of the agency's Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Authorities say LeBarge has been charged with numerous sex offenses including four counts of sexual assault on a child and one count of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
A warrant for his arrest was issued in May out of Yavapai County.
Authorities say they learned that LeBarge was in Illinois and found him on the back porch of a home in Ridge Farm. He was arrested without incident.
It wasn't immediately clear Friday when LaBarge might be extradited to Arizona.
