PHOENIX - Police say a woman has died as a result of a serious collision in Phoenix Wednesday afternoon.
Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said a utility truck traveling northbound collided with a passenger car turning left at 7th Street and Northern Avenue around 1 p.m.
Thompson said 27-year-old Julie Harrington who was riding in the passenger car was transported to the hospital in extremely critical condition where she later died.
There was no word on injuries to the 21-year-old male driver of the utility truck or the 22-year-old female driver of the passenger car.
The intersection of Seventh Street and Northern was closed for several hours.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
