PHOENIX - Dozens of Phoenix officers and firefighters are preparing to hit the road Wednesday, on their way across the country to help in areas hit hardest by Superstorm Sandy.
Officials tell ABC15 80 members of the Phoenix Fire and Police departments are set to depart at 4 p.m.
The teams will caravan to the East Coast, some on buses while others man trucks filled with emergency equipment.
It is unclear when the teams are expected to return to Arizona.
