PHOENIX - Look up on your way to work and you may help solve a crime.
Clear Channel has donated time on its digital billboards to Silent Witness in a bid to generate more publicity and awareness of the Valley's cold cases.
Thirty of the digital signs will flash the photos of victims, suspect photos and basic information in an effort to solicit anonymous tips that can lead to arrests.
Sometimes the families of the victims will distribute paper flyers to the area near where the crime took place, but the billboards provide exposure to a broader audience.
In addition, Silent Witness publicizes its cases online, on television and on the radio.
The inaugural billboard case tells the story of two young women who were found strangled in their apartment on Dec. 2, 2010.
Melissa Mason and Nicole Glass were only entering the prime of their lives when they were killed in their home near 40th Street and Thomas Road.
Melissa was pregnant with her first child at the time.
If you have any information in that case, or any others you will see on the electronic signs, you're asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS or you can submit your tip online .
There is a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to an arrest.
You can remain anonymous.
