ABC15 sat down with George Lopez Friday night to ask the famous comedian straight up if he was going to accept Sheriff Joe's Arpaio's challenge to a throwdown.
We were the first to show you Lopez's standup routine from his HBO special last summer where he ripped into Sheriff Joe and his policies.
"Sheriff Joe in Arizona, **** you!" Lopez said during his HBO special called "It's Not Me, It's You."
Arpaio said the language angered him and he had a demand for Lopez. "Get some guts, come down here and meet me face to face. Let's see how you act then."
Lopez was in the Valley to do a show at the Celebrity Theatre and when we asked him if he was going to take the sheriff up on his offer, he refused to talk about Arpaio whatsoever.
