PHOENIX - Authorities say a suspect is in custody in connection with a 1997 cold-case murder.
Phoenix police say 37-year-old Randall Larson was arrested Wednesday in the death of Victor Moreno.
Police say the 20-year-old Moreno was found dead on April 25, 1997.
Moreno left behind a pregnant girlfriend, who gave birth to a girl soon afterward.
After the case went cold, the Phoenix Police Department's Homicide Cold Case Squad reviewed the case last year.
Police say the squad was able to forensically link Larson as a suspect in Moreno's murder.
They say Larson is being held on suspicion of first-degree murder. It's unclear if he has a lawyer yet.
