PHOENIX - Police say they have identified the suspect who shot and killed a 23-year-old man Saturday night.
Sgt. Tommy Thompson said around 1 a.m. Saturday morning, two men were hanging out in the courtyards of an apartment complex near 16th Avenue and Glendale.
While they were there, 20-year-old David Gallegos apparently got into some sort of altercation with the men and shot them.
One of the men, 23-year-old Jeremiah Cole died at the scene. The other man, a 20-year-old, was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Gallegos has been booked into Maricopa County Jail on charges of 2nd degree murder and aggravated assault.
