PHOENIX - Police and fire crews responded to a Phoenix neighborhood Friday morning after a man was reportedly shot five times.

The victim was shot in the arms and legs in the area of Bethany Home Road and 35th Avenue, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said the 26-year-old was shot by "friends" and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The man was transported to a local hospital to be treated.

Officials at the scene told ABC15 crews the victim is not cooperating with police and it is believed the shooting may be gang-related.
