PHOENIX - A major storm left Arizonans with road closures, power outages, and a mess Friday.
--ABC15 viewer Vicki Botkin sent in a photo of a tree uprooted in the Chandler Fashion Center parking lot near Loop 101 and Chandler Boulevard.
--Another viewer, Michael Carrillo, took photos of a tree that went down in a Mesa yard near Crimson Road and University Drive.
--Around 8 p.m., SRP said nearly all power had been restored for Valley customers with outages earlier Friday. SRP initially reported about 8,000 without power across the Valley.
--APS tweeted around 5:45 p.m. that less than 100 customers were affected by power outages Valley-wide. Earlier around 2:30 p.m., APS reported that about 700 customers were without power at Cave Creek Road to Mountain View from 10th to 16th streets.
SKY HARBOR WEATHER WARNING
The National Weather Service issued a warning for Sky Harbor Airport that was in effect until 4:30 p.m. due to strong, gusty winds.
A spokesperson told ABC15 that Sky Harbor did not experience weather delays of more than 15 minutes.
The Arizona Department of Transportation tweeted that northbound Interstate 17 was closed about seven miles south of Flagstaff around 6 p.m. due to impassable weather conditions.
The city of Goodyear said Indian School Road was shut down in both directions around 3 p.m. at Loop 303 due to storm damage.
