PHOENIX - Authorities are investigating the death of a woman after her body was found lying in the street Saturday.
Sgt. Tommy Thompson of the Phoenix Police Department said officers responded to 28th Street and Roeser Road around 10:15 p.m. Saturday to reports of a shooting.
A body of a 55-year-old woman was found lying in the street with an apparent gunshot wound, said Thompson.
Police identified the woman Monday as Faye Armstead.
Police have very little information regarding a suspect or possible suspects connected to the shooting.
The name of the victim was not immediately released.
