PHOENIX - Phoenix police say one person is dead as a result of a home invasion.
Details are sketchy but Sgt. Steve Martos says initial information suggests that two intruders entered a northwest Phoenix apartment near 19th Avenue and Thunderbird Road Wednesday evening and confronted the resident.
At least one of the intruders was armed and a shooting occurred inside the apartment, resulting in the death of one of the alleged intruders.
Martos says the second intruder fled and has not been located.
