Phoenix PD: Teen stabbed as suspect tries to steal necklace

PHOENIX - Police say they have no suspects after a 14-year-old boy was stabbed in central Phoenix overnight.
Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said in an e-mail that officers responded to a cutting call at Indian Steele Park around midnight where they found the male victim with a cut to the inside of his right arm.
Witnesses reportedly told officers they had just gotten off the Light Rail on Central Avenue just north of Indian School Road when four subjects approached.
Crump said one of the suspects tried to take a necklace from one of the juveniles and another suspect stabbed the victim on the arm.
The group of juveniles began running east inside the park and the suspects were last seen running north on Central Avenue.
Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects or a scene, Crump said.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
