PHOENIX - Valley daycare workers have a lot of cleaning up to do after vandals broke in over the weekend.
Sgt. Trent Crump with the Phoenix Police Department said vandals broke into the Out of This World Daycare near 35th Avenue and Encanto and left the place a mess.
The vandals threw ink cartridges and paper on the ground, emptied drawers and ran off with computers and televisions.
Ralph Montoya and his wife, JoAnna run the daycare.
"We help a lot of people. We serve our community, we take care of children. It breaks my heart to have people come in...now I have to spend time doing this instead of being with the children," JoAnna said.
Workers have set up a temporary location at a nearby building, but ultimately question why someone would do this.
Police said have no leads or suspects in the case.
"They need to get some help. For them to do this, it doesn't look like they were thinking correctly," Montoya said.
