PHOENIX - A Phoenix man is facing 2nd degree murder charges after police say he stabbed his roommate during an argument over a rent payment.
Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said the stabbing happened near 12th Street and Indian School Friday night.
Police said a verbal argument turned physical and the suspect Steven Scheuer, 44, stabbed his 50-year-old roommate who later died.
Crump said Scheuer was booked into jail on 2nd degree murder charges.
