PHOENIX - Phoenix police say a 32-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly shot and killed his girlfriend and wounded her sister.
Police spokesman Sgt. Steve Martos says the women were visiting the man at a south Phoenix home early Saturday when an argument broke out. He says the man got a gun and shot both women.
The 41-year-old girlfriend died at the scene and her 43-year-old sister is hospitalized in stable condition.
Martos said the suspect was identified as Luis E. Mendoza-Saravia, who was booked for Homicide, Aggravated Assault, and being a prohibited possessor.
