PHOENIX - Understanding Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder can be a difficult task for parents and caregivers to take on despite the fact that the disorder is becoming more and more prevalent.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital is hosting a special two-hour presentation Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m. where they will discuss ADHD.

John L. Barton, Ph.D, ABPP, an expert on the topic, will help parents understand the disorder itself, other disorders that often make appearances with ADHD, evaluation and intervention and support for those affected.

According to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, up to 7 percent of children and teens are affected by ADHD and families may need help understanding and dealing with the disorder.

The lecture will take place at Phoenix Children’s Hospital in the Melvin L. Cohen Conference Center in Phoenix.

Donations are accepted but the lecture is being offered for free.
