PHOENIX - Phoenix police are searching for three men who opened fire at a Phoenix park Saturday night.

According to police spokesman Lt. John White, the shooting happened at an adult soccer game at Sueno Park near 43rd Avenue and McDowell shortly before 7 p.m.

White said three Hispanic males, two armed with handguns and one with a rifle, started firing shots at the people in the park.

A 32-year-old woman was hit in the shoulder. She was airlifted to a local hospital and remains in critical condition as of Sunday morning.

A motive in the shooting is unclear. Authorities are still trying to determine if the suspects were targeting someone, or if they were just randomly firing.

The three men fled on foot to a nearby apartment complex. Police are still searching for the suspects at this time.

Police said there were approximately 100 people at the park at the time of the shooting.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Silent Witness at 480-948-6377.
