PHOENIX - Four Phoenix police detectives and two supervisors have been placed on administrative leave after allegedly showing crime scene photos during a private holiday party.
Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said the officers, who are part of the Violent Crimes Bureau, showed a 30-minute slide show at a December party which contained images from crime scenes, including photos of dead people.
According to police, there were non-police guests at the party that saw the photos, which were only intended for Phoenix police. The incident reportedly happened at a private party when the officers were off-duty.
The County Attorney is investigating any criminal activity.
The department is also trying to determine who made the slide show and if there are any more copies.
