PHOENIX - Police say two people were shot during an altercation in Phoenix late Sunday night.
Phoenix police Lt. Jeff Pierce said two groups got into a fight at a home near 30th Avenue and Van Buren Street just before 11 p.m.
Sgt. Trent Crump said the victim had been heard arguing with at least two people before the shooting.
An adult male was shot and taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The suspects left the scene in a limousine, which was stopped by police near 16th Street and Indian School Road.
Several adult males and one female were detained after the limousine was stopped by police.
Crump said during the incident, one of the suspects apparently shot himself in the hand and was later found at a local hospital.
Five suspects have been detained and are being questioned by investigators.
